Our first night in Greece

Here's another little map for you to see where we are. So we are staying in Imerovigli, and tonight since we are tired we're sticking close by. We walked to dinner! Hence the need for fancy flip flops. (It's not far at all just to firostefani). We're now here at Vanilia.

With it's charming views of the famous volcano and world renowned sunsets, it's the perfect place to spend out first night together. It's just a short walk from Fira, the capital of Santorini, located in a restored windmill built in 1872.

Situated on the Caldera (a land mass formed by the collapse of land following a volcanic eruption), we of course are sitting on the roof to get the best view. You can also sit inside inside to see the windmills inner workings...but we are dining al fresco!

The menu features herbs grown right at the restaurant and fresh seafood caught in the Mediterranean Sea. I am having the roasted eggplant with smoked Metzova cheese or a salad of marinated oranges with chilies and feta. Oooohhh how about this homemade pasta with ouzo, shrimp, mussels, and garlic! Wow!

What a fun idea! I've not visited you in a while, so when hopped on here tonight, I thought, "Oh, that brat! She's in Greece!" Then I read the previous posts. Lol!
