One Fabulous Husband- He's With The Band! Supporting your mates passion!

There's something that happens when you get married. At first it's cute. You get comfortable around each other, let loose a little...next thing you know you're wearing cotton undies and sweatpants.

For God Sakes Brit put on a bra...
No Bueno.

Thank God she is now engaged again and looking like this:

Anyhooo...

Remember when you were dating? Engaged? First married? Ooooh the diamond was sparkling and you were feeling sassy! That was before kids, bills, life....dragged you down!

One sure fire way to keep that spark alive is to make sure you cultivate and support each others passions. I mean that is what life is all about. Now you could be jealous of a passion, because that passion of your husbands could take him out of the house and leave you home with the kids! I know ladies, it's tough. Trust me though, in the end, this makes a better marriage.

Case and point:

One Fabulous Husband is a drummer. A good one. Now there was a time, not so long ago, where we were in a financial tailspin and Fab Hubby wanted to SELL those drums. I said "hell to the no". I knew he needed them one day. That day has come.

Husband has been playing with a band around town. Let me tell you not only is he good, it's HOT! Look at him back there. He is so cute!

What a blast to see everyone dancing and having the best time while One Fab Hubby was on the drums. Made both of us feel good. Keeping the spark alive! I am all for the drums. Or anything else that makes a man feel like I do when I've got a mani/pedi, a nice tan, and a fabulous Lilly Pulitzer dress on. It's good times I tell ya.

What's your husbands passion? Do you support it?

Birthday Recap! Lunch at Villa Blanca!

What do you get when you have friends, champagne and fabulous food? A regular Friday afternoon? I wish. A birthday lunch!

We dined at Villa Blanca, Lisa Vanderpump's (RHOBH) fabulous restaurant in Beverly Hills and my total obsession. We had Penne and Rock Shrimp, Margerita Flatbread Pizza, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Burrata and Heirloom tomato, and of course champagne. We were already ordering glasses when to our surprise two bottles of Veuve Cliquot showed up to the table!

Katie was a tad bit excited.
The waitress told us it was a gift from an anonymous admirer! You know I loooved that! We had a fabulous lunch and then it was time for...

Cake!

When we went to pay our bill we were told it as taken care of. Of course the culprit was the MR!! Thank you MR! Best birthday lunch ever!!

Cheers to the Mr!!!
Tomorrow more of my birthday long weekend!

Anniversary Dinner At Home- Stay-versary!

You know the "stay-cation", well because the Mr. and I are tightening our belts financially, we decided to do our anniversary dinner at home. You know what? It was DIVINE!

I set the table outside by the pool in a beachy theme. I used a white linen table cloth, glass stemware and wine bucket. The menu was lobster, asparagus, and new potatoes. Godmother Anne taught me that Savingnon Blanc goes with lobster way better than my beloved Pinot Grigio, so we had that. We also had a bottle of champagne given to us by friends at our decadence dinner, a gorgeous bottle of Perrier Jouet. We dined, talked about what we have learned over the past seven years, and what we want for the next seven!

I had this quote written in his card:

"Marriage partners are to serve each other. Elevate, help, teach, strengthen each other, but above all, serve. Raise their children honorably, lovingly and with detachment. A child is a guest in the house, to be loved and respected - never possessed, since he belongs to God. How wonderful, how sane, how beautifully difficult, and therefore true."

Happy Anniversary!

Hubby's Birthday

Today is Hubby's Birthday and we are going to celebrate. He really is the best hubby ever. He's hands on with Landon and unafraid of diapers. He often cooks dinner and I don't mean ordering out. He is so handy around the house we never have to call anyone over here! Best of all he makes me laugh. He is so funny. He loves all things Hemingway, sporting, and classic. He is a true renaissance man and I couldn't be luckier to have him in my life.
