Lemons into Lemonade!

Can you feel it? Spring is here! It's coming! Remember my lemon tree? Look it at! It's going insane!

I am determined to make lemons into lemonade. There are so many wonderful things to celebrate in life.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is from the movie "Auntie Mame". Rosalind Russel always says "life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death." To me life is all about perspective. You can look at your life as one long To Do list where you are constantly struggling, or as one great adventure where you are experiencing all life has to offer.
Even the worst things that have happened to us have deepened our friendships and family ties. We would never take these experiences back, they have literally brought us to a new reality where we are more interested in really caring for our friends and family then going through the motions.
We are "turning worry into wonder" over here in our house. More on that tomorrow on a special Saturday Post.

Your lemon tree is amazing! I love the quote about life being a banquet. I agree with viewing the hard times in your life in a positive manner. I have dealt with many hardships, but without them I would not be the person I am now. I think God puts things in our life to make us the people we are meant to be.

Have a great day! Thanks for brightening my mornings with your posts! :)

WOW!! So jealous of that tree! I remember we had a lemon tree when I lived in Cali for 2 years in junior high. I can still remember what it smells like :)

PS Jeff Conway? I might be scared!! and I remember that last guy from AMC - I used to be a freak for that show in high school and college!

Your lemon trees are gorgeous, as previously stated I killed my two Meyer Lemon trees that I had grown from a seed...so now I have to start all over again and do a better job of protecting them from a frost!!!

I also love your quote about life being a banquet and am excited to see tomorrows post about turning worry into wonder!!! I am thinking of you and your sweet family and wishing all wonderful things for you today!!!

Thanks for the cheerful pictures - a very pretty tree.

Would suggest making lemonade from the lemons rather than vice versa though. (Totally something I'd type!) :-)

I'm jealous of your trees. When I lived in AZ, I had a pomegranate tree that I loved...

Anyway, love that quote and think you're so right about perspective. It's how we look at it and react. And, a great attitude will get you far.

One of my favorite sayings, not sure who said it but...

The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything that they have.

Have a great weekend!

As I sit here looking at your beautiful lemon tree (I would love to have one) - I am sitting here in 15 degree temperature with 8 inches of snow and more coming. I think I will move somewhere warm.
