Not so Fabulous- But Some Words of Inspiration
This past week has been not good. NOT GOOD AT ALL. It started with a business deal going bad and them trying to stick me with a $1400 bill I should NOT be paying for. It gives me a pit in my stomach every time I think about them coming after me for this money.
Then the call that Landon's grandpa has prostate cancer. It runs in the family and it finally hit him (his father died of it). So depressing. They caught it early but it's an aggressive strain. I HATE the word cancer. It just is the scariest word ever.
And last Landon has to have surgery some time this summer. Sweet Landon is no stranger to surgery, he's had five or so...but we have been able to stave it off this past year until now. This will be his future. More surgeries. It just depresses me so much sometimes. Landon was born with a blood clot in his right arm. They managed to save it after surgery and skin grafting. More on this whole deal in another post.
So I've been feeling pretty down and trying to keep a happy face for my baby boy. He's so cute it's easy to do!
I was cleaning out my desk and I found a little card I bought so many years ago I can't even recall where. I intended on sending it to someone but kept holding on to it because I loved what it said.
After all these years I finally know why I saved it. I needed it today...and you may too. So here it is:
"If you ever feel lost, here is a simple way
to find yourself on a path for hope:
Go out to a far place where the grass grows tall and wild.
Be silent...
Be patient...
Watch the way the wind combs the fields.
the way the birds and insects go where they will.
Stay until you understand that
freedom
is yours...
You were born a creature of possibilities.
And for everything that ever hurt you, dismissed your dreams,
brought you despair, or bound you to some small idea of what
or who you might be...
There are a thousand other things saying...
Welcome to the world. Belong to it, and it belongs to
YOU."
They say bad things happen in three's so I'm hoping this is it for a while. This quote above gives me hope and inspiration. Good things have been happening too...I'm going to focus in those things! I am posting this daffodil picture because they refuse to be depressed! They're just so damn cute and optimistic!

I am so sorry this has been a hard week.
I am so sorry to hear about your bad news. You deserve so much better. I will keep you in my prayers. Your quote is perfect and I will keep it as a daily reminder. (it sounds like something Maya Angelo would write). Give kisses and hugs to sweet Landon:)
sending you happy thoughts and positive vibes !! You have such a wonderful upbeat attitude. You inspire me
So sorry to hear about your crappy week. My thoughts are with you. I'm glad you saved that card and it is providing inspiration for you.
I am so sorry to hear about your rough week. But I love what the card says. That is definitely comforting and inspiring!
I hope that things will be on the upswing for you this week. Know that there are others out there thinking of you.
Think positive. People always told me that when I was diagnosed with DVT.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
So sorry for all you're going through right now! I will be thinking of you. And, I love the words on the card. It's hard not to worry but focusing on the good things is always a great start! :)
Good Luck with everything to come. You are an amazing woman/wife/mommy so stay positive. I love what your card says. Such hope. You, grandfather and sweet baby Landon are in my prayers!!! ((hug))
I am sorry so much has hit at once... isn't that always the way. I hope they caught your father-in-law's cancer in time, and that Landon's surgery will go well.
Thanks for sharing those inspirational words. Depending on how tomorrow's blood test goes, I might be very much in need of them.

I know how you feel. Business and health can be just "to much" sometimes.
I liked the card.
Oh honey I am so sorry to hear about all you are going through! Hang in there! And that card was truly meant to be. Funny how things like that happen...
I wish it was easier to find the words that comfort... You and your sweet family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to hear about everything. We, too have cancer happening in our family- my mother-in-law. It's why I started my blog. I needed to "lighten up" after some tough months. It has helped me. I'll pray for your family!
So sorry to hear all that you are going through. We are here for you to vent!
I am so sorry for everything you are going through. When it rains... You are a strong person and a great mom, and I am sure you will get through everything. Keeping you in my thoughts.
So sorry to hear of your bad week. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. The saying on that card is just beautiful, thanks for sharing.

"Tough times never last forever, but people do. You and your family will prevail."
I am so sorry that you have had a rough week! My prayers are with your family. I love your blog!
God never gives you more than you can handle. I am so sorry this week has been such a down week for you. Know that Landon is in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure he will be such a trooper. I am so sorry about his grandfather having cancer. It is such a tough road. My mother-in-law had pancreatic cancer and it was a hard journey and battle until the end. Cancer is a tough and a scary thing to deal with. But know you have support here in the blog world if you ever need to just let out your fears and anxiety.
Hope the rest of your week starts looking up!
so sorry to hear about your week. I'm thinking about you...hang in there!
So sorry to hear of your sorrows:) You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh, I am sorry I missed this post. Sending you good vibes and positive thoughts. I like the way you are working it out... thinking positively truly truly is the key to life. It's not always easy to do, but keep the faith :) xo Brie
