Marshalls Public Service Announcement

Well, another Marshalls fan is born. After our trip, Step Mom and I hit the Marshalls in Virginia before I went home. She had never been so I gave her the inside guided tour. Here's my Marshall's speech.

Not all Marshalls are the same. Some have fabulous shoe departments, others are better with housewares, and still others have great kid stuff. Hitting the trifecta and having all three is rare.

Along with fabulous designer shoes, you can get Le Crueset bake ware, cashmere socks, polo ties and shirts for men and boys, the best soaps and products, and bedding at very low prices.

My friend Anne got a fabulous beachy quilt there that looked like it cost $200. It was $23 thank you. You can get hostess gifts of fabulous note cards, books, napkins or stationary, or baby gifts of cute clothes and toys. It is heaven.

On my recent trip with Step Mom I saw Lilly Pulitzer bathing suits, polo shirts for boys, and "lovely" perfume by the one and only SJP. Is there someone you need to introduce to Marshalls? Do your civic duty and bring them there on a guided tour.

This has been an announcement from the MRS.

I went a little crazy when I got back to the states and hit up all of the Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross stores in the LA area (that I knew of). I just used google maps to find some more so I know what I'll be doing the rest of the week ;)

i have a hard time going to M's 'cause i hate sifting through racks and racks of stuff- i like to step into the store and do a quick scan and voila- i can see everything, colors, shapes, textures and make my choices. but my daughter loves marshalls- mostly because she likes to sift through racks and racks of shit- unlike me.

I love Marshalls, but the one here in Maine is painfully bad. I always go to the one in MA when I visit the ILs. Jackpot!!

LOVE Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross and Filene's Basement! I actually went to TJ and one Filene's last night with little luck (okay, that's a lie - cute madras skirt and nautical navy striped Izod boatneck sweater) and have to go to another Filene's tonight to look for a dress for a wedding! I'm hoping to find a perfect Lilly dress :)

I love Marshalls! I agree - I found 350 thread count sheets, king size, for $23.99.

Oh mercy, yes. I agree. There is a Marshall's at the end of the street where I work. Don't even have to get out into the traffic to go there. Who can resist once, twice, three times a week?

Great post! I haven't been to a Marshall's in forever. By the time I get there, it's always picked over. My friends score the best things and I'm always jealous!

Everything they don't sell in your nice Marshall's-they haul into Nebraska & attempt to schlepp it off to us..

Like Marshalls, LOVE TJ Maxx! And I really miss having a Filene's Basement in RI, but am desperately wanting to do a girls trip to Boston for a day of shopping at the huge one in Downtown Crossing!

About all we have in Ann Arbor is a Marshalls and TJMAX. In fact, out TJMAX is one of the top stores for getting luxury designer goods.
Our shopping is pretty slim here..not a lot of designer brands, etc. We rely on Marshalls and TJMAX.

You're so right. One Marhalls is different from another, but such great deals. You have to be patient and look for the good stuff! Funny story- I asked an older lady in a NYC bar what perfume she was wearing. It was "Lovely" and smelled so lovely! I bought some when I returned home, but I don't like it on me. Bummer! Was it you or your mom that likes it? Just wondering.
