Mothers Day

Mother's day is rolling around once again. What are your plans? I had a massage earlier this week and will try to get my nails done some time on Saturday...but for Sunday?

We will be going to church and then to one of my favorite places for brunch. We're going with our good friends and their family. Gina, the mom, is a good friend and my second friend to battle cancer (breast). Thank God it seems they caught it early, it hasn't spread and she will be okay but she is shell shocked. Even though they are telling her that she'll be okay it's still an emotional time.I told her we needed to celebrate our motherhood and being alive.

She is so brave. She has been holding it together in front of her kids so she doesn't scare them. She is one of the most amazing mom's I know.

Let's celebrate the mothers and mother figures in our lives this weekend, and all year long!

After church, my mom, miss P and I are doing mother/daughter pedis (mani-pedis for some of us) and then doing lunch with E and my stepdad at a cool outdoor eatery with good people watching potential. Perfect, huh?

Happy mother's day as a mom of two precious little ones. Hugs to your friend. If you need some cancer resources to share with her email me and I'll be happy to help. Tomorrow is my daughter's first holy communion so it's really all about her tomorrow....I'll pick a different day to sleep in! A little bird (my youngest) told me today "mommy don't look at your new bike...it's a secret..it's a surprise. So I guess I am getting a new bike tomorrow! Too cute.

Happy Mother's Day to you! You have certainly earned your mom stripes over the last few weeks... newborns are tough work, but the rewards will be coming... (hopefully, in the form of sleep!)

Happy Mother's Day!

I admire your friendship- I imagine I would be like your friend after such a scare- shell shocked and always worried about what could be waiting around the corner.

It's so special being a mom- and so much responsibility- we can't get sick!
