Who do you want to be week...

The next topic is who do you want to be professionally. This is one I struggle with too.

As a screenwriter I want to be an artist first, business woman second, but it doesn't always work out that way. I try not to get caught up in the business side of things (although sometimes I like it!), because it can affect my writing. It can literally squash my Mojo!

Professionally I would like to be respected and acknowledged as a writer by my peers as well as the industry. I would love to be able to work steadily and make an impact on film and TV.

One thing that's hard about being a writer is how isolating it is. I would love to have an office to go to, but right now my priority is Landon and baby girl on the way! I will go back to a more full time gig when I can.

How about you? Who do you want to be professionally?

How did I miss that you're a screenwriter? How very appropriate, since you're such a fantabulous writer.

For me professionally, my goal is to be helpful. My greatest satisfaction comes when I'm able to help people personally, like with a recent immigration matter I quarterbacked.

Good question!

professionally, I'd like to do school all over again and be a labor and delivery nurse. I just love the whole birthing process, with epidurals of course.

My dream job is a little like what I'm doing as a SAHM just with a few extra perks, such as cleaning lady and a nanny to stay home with the kids while they napped so I can go out more. Not raise my kids just help a bit. But, I am currently the nanny, maid, laundress and cook. Oh well, not a bad life though.

I am sort of in line with The Major;s Wife - I have thought about becoming at Lactation Consultant. Right now I am a SAHM mom to two but I really want to do a new career when I go back to work. I promised myself when I go back I will enjoy my work and not just have a job...

Not surprisingly, I would love to be a professional organizer/space planner/designer. However, I have a Master's Degree in Public Health and work in the field now and love it as well...

I love the way you write on your blog, you have gift of pulling us in, getting a conversation going and making everyone feel at ease....

I'd like to be an Art History Professor, to talk all day about beautiful art...to be surrounded by it and not have to work weekends or Christmas Eve...ahhhh, that would be too good.

The Mrs...Thank you for visiting my bloggy! I love it when new friends stop in!

I love this post because I have been reflecting on this a great deal myself as of late:)

I love being a SAHM...best job going! That being said, I love to write. I love to use my words to craft stories to inspire, educate or just plain give you a giggle. I have several book ideas rolling around in this noggin of mine. I made the decision early on in this new year to take the leap and see what I can do about that. Hence, my bloggy adventure. I started blogging to give myself space to practice writing on a "committed" time frame. So far, so good!

(ooops...sorry I blogged all over your blog!)

Your little guy is super cute!

Hugs!

I love these posts! Sometimes it is hard for me to think about who I want to be professionally because it is so far from what I am now. I have a stable, secure job with good benefits, but zero creativity. I guess I would just love to be able to make some money doing something creative. In the meantime, I blog and write to fill that void.

Thank you for sharing this with us!

I love the "helping people" part of what I do. I feel blessed to be able to juggle my career with motherhood. I have alot of professional goals but, no rush to accomplish them. My little girls are my first priority now. I never thought I would say that 3 years ago! How kids do change your outlook on life...for the better!

I dream of being a criminal profiler. Weird, I know but I hope I can someday do something similar
