I have not often left my babies. Maybe once or twice, over night. I worry about them too much and we don't have a ton of family near by. That being said I knew the Mr and I needed to have:
1) A conversation without being interrupted.
2) Some Sexy time when I am not exhausted.
and
3) LAUGHS!!!
And we did. Mr and I talked during the drive up and back, at dinner at a French Bistro and all times in between. We caught up on all things business, kids, and life! As for laughs we were howling trying to imitate Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen when they are Garth and Kat the singing team.
Best night ever!! Doesn't the Mr look relaxed?

OH, how wonderful!!!! We all need that rare time away (sans, precious children!) Like you, we haven't had family close so those times have been few and far between. So glad you had some time to reconnect!
Sounds amazing! I still havnt brought myself to leave my little guy for the night. I know I would be rushing back to him first thing in the morning!

yay!!! its soo good for a marriage! we try to do it often. We can leave the kids with my mom. Havent been able to since baby girl has been born. She is only 5 months old and still wakes to nurse once or twice at night. but you better believe the moment she starts sleeping through the night we're gone! hehe
So fun! Every couple needs alone time together. And LOVE Palm Springs!
Wonderful!! Getting some alone time w/ a spouse makes a parent a better parent in my opinion! I'm lucky in that my parents live close by.... hubby and I got 3 nights away about a month ago. I felt like a NEW woman! So glad you had a fabulous time!!
A night away is such a TREAT!!! Nothing like re-charging the batteries.

Oh how wonderful!! I'm so glad yall got away for a bit. I know its hard to leave the littles but its so important to have some alone time with the Mister!

Good for you! Every mom and dad need a little away time every now and then!
Good for you and the Mr. It's so important to have grown up time. We were lucky when our children were little...the grandparents would beg us to take a night away every month or so.
How wonderful for the two of you. Palm Springs definitely is the place to relax. My husband and I went there for our tenth anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
It's so important!! We don't go away overnight without the kids often either, but we are trying to get back in the habit of a weekly date night. Now that the kids are getting older (7 & 5) they are excited to have sleepovers at Grammy & Grampy's house on a more regular basis too:)
