Show Me Monday- Kitchen!

Most of you have seen the slow, and slooooow transformation of my kitchen. Oh? You didn't? Well here's the before...

And now the after...

I am waiting on hubby for hardwood floors, counter tops (thinking of apple green Caesar stone), and wallpaper (bamboo green pattern possibly).

Hubby is a contractor, and sometimes gets freebies and favors! I also want to change the seating...not sure yet.... Okay show me yours...I have to see!

Did you replace cabinets or paint? I want to have ours painted but was worried about how they might turn out quality wise...any suggestions?

I've enjoyed your tour! I'll post my kitchen tomorrow. One of my favorite rooms since I love to cook! You went from dark to light cabinets and I went from light to dark when we moved 3 yrs ago!

The white really brightened the space. Fab job. I love the chandelier and the bamboo shades and fabric. Green is a sensational color.

How is it that your husband is a contractor and YOU get things done?! I've been repeating the adage "The cobblers' children . . . " We have plenty of half-completed projects--he's apparently better at tearing things up than putting them back together. It's a sad state of affairs, but right now we're just happy he is working, and I'm going to have to be satisfied that rain will not come through the roof in the winter.

Your job looks great. Good choices!

Oh--I just remembered! My kitchen was featured in a blogger's kitchen tour series, http://userealbutter.com/2009/03/12/kitchen-tour-week-2/.

Prepare to be amazed at her tour, horrified at my kitchen.
