Fabulous Book- Marie Osmonds Might As Well Laugh About It Now

Just finished reading Marie Osmonds autobiography, it was pretty good, kind of like Tori and Dean meets 18 Kinds and Counting!

Marie grew up with a bunch of brothers, the only girl. She had some pretty amazing parents. I was struck by this more than anything else:
"My Father was very wise with the money made by my brothers. He would first tithe ten percent in thanks to God fir our many blessings. Then, he would invest half of the rest of the money into safe financial investments and the other half back into my brothers' careers for singing lessons, dance routines, and whatever else was needed to keep them armed with fresh, unique material...the portfolio my Father created was over the $100 million figure when he handed it over to my brother in the 80's. He felt at peace with a job well done..."

Wow.

Marie has been through some tough times but retains an unsinkable sense of humor. A fun read, and amazing to learn about how she grew up performing.

Now on to Mommywood, by Tori Spelling! Cannot WAIT! (Can you tell I am doing summer reading? Pinky swear I'll get back to deeper books!)
What are you reading?

Can't tell you how many times I picked up that book to purchase at the store. Now I will have to read.

I am just plowing through books this Summer. Almost more so than any other Summer. Guess there isn't much watching on tv in my neck of the woods. (I am not a reruns girl by any stretch).

Have you read I love , I lost I made Spaghetti. Pretty good. That and The Wednesday Sisters. Nest on the list is Commencement.

I have read Summer House, Too many Cooks, Mating Rituals of the North American WASP, The Wild Water Walking Club. These are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. My mother and sisters have the ones that I have finished.

Happy Reading.

I loved Mommywood and am so sad that Tori and Dean is over now. I just cannot believe how adorable little Stella is. I wish there were more episodes.
