Frozen Birthday Party Theme! How To Throw A Frozen Birthday Party!

Miss Coco, like a million other little girls is literally OBSESSED with FROZEN.

She sings all the songs, dressed up in the costumes and reads all the books. We eagerly await the release of the Frozen DVD!

With Coco's birthday coming in March, I decided to enlist my friend Myriam at MLC Event Planning to help me plan the perfect Frozen Party for Coco.

We are planning a...FROZEN TEA PARTY!!!

These invitations by Lovely Divine on Etsy, went out last week! Aren't they amazing??

And we had to order a special dress so that she could be the only one in this Frozen inspired look!

Can't wait to show you all our decorating ideas!! Stay tuned!

Whose Homework Is It Anyway?

Landon's in first grade and has a fair amount of homework, not a ton but enough to make me nuts.

The thing about this homework is it needs major supervision, needs to be checked and rechecked and worst of all you have to use FORCE to get them to do it. ALREADY. Can you imagine? First grade homework should be easy, breezy and fun. Instead Landon is acting like I am making him study for his SAT's.

I am wondering where this will all lead. Especially since there were a few incidents I could not make out a few animals on his spelling sheet. Is that a FOX?

I'm sure next year I will need a tutor to tutor me on how to help with his homework. Have I mentioned: I cannot do math, don't know my left from right, and am the worst at geography??

So my question is who's homework is it anyway? Don't kid yourself. It's yours. PS I can't wait for Summer.

How To Stop Texting And Driving

I struggle with this. I am trying to be good about staying off my phone while driving. I even think texting at a red light is NOT GOOD.

I saw this and thought BRILLIANT.

The Red Thumb Reminder could really save lives. Here's how it works.

Remember the whole tie a sting around your finger to remind you of something? Instead you paint one thumb nail RED.

That one thumb nail will be a reminder not to text and drive. Or talk on the phone and drive!

Still not convinced?

How about this:

How to Raise a Boy Tip #324- Boys Need Baths

Landon has been through so much with his surgery and now physical therapy I need to give him time to just BE.

I think all kids need that. Too much scheduled stuff and homework can just make their heads spin. Not to mention negative influences around everywhere.

I am telling you I don't think people really understand that keeping your kids young, innocent and full of wonder is tough in this world!

I work hard at it.

One of the ways I do this? A bath.

Oh I know. You are excited when kids are finally showering, on their own and there's one last thing on the to do list, BUT, kids (boys especially) need time in the bath. They need to zone out, lay in their and contemplate and have one second when their not running, talking or trying to play on some electronic device!

Landon and Coco both still take baths, it's their alone time. They each take baths separately and take their time playing and relaxing. I don't rush them. Whens the last time you didn't rush your kid?

Baths are where it's at I'm telling you. Try it and see.
