Pregnancy Week Continues!

Eleven weeks! Woohoo!
Saw the "blinky bean" today and she/he is looking great. Had her arms over her head! Touchdown! Too funny. I seriously cannot believe what a miracle it is.

Another thing that is so great about being pregnant is how people react. Everyone is so excited, wants to know when you're due, the sex etc. People are holding open doors and being sweet. Warms my heart!

We will be finding out the sex as soon as we can. (I'd find out who his college roommate is if I could! LOL!)

I am looking forward to planning his/ her room, and wardrobe!

One thing I am wondering about is how Landon will feel. He is one doted and loved on boy and I hope he doesn't feel too pushed aside. I will try to involve him in every way so he doesn't fee left out. They'll be about 2 years and 7 months apart. I can remember my step sister Robyn, she let Matt (nephew) drive his cars over his new baby sister Shannon (my niece). It was so funny! But they always played together and got along great because she wasn't overly protective. I want Landon to feel like he is the bog brother and that he is still in charge!

Whatever the baby is the dynamic will change. I am trying to enjoy having just one for now! My days are numbered!

My babes are 22 months apart. It was rough for about a week and then everything was good. Now they are each other's best friends and I hope this will last through out their life.

My oldest two are 2 yrs and 3 mos apart - they've always been great together. Whenever we've added a new little person, I"ve never seen any of the new sibling jealousy, only excitement.

I know that it will all work out! The fact that you are already worrying about Landon, shows how much you love him, and all of the extra effort you will put in to make him feel included! Enjoy it, will you pass over some of your pregnancy love to me??? XO, C

I was so nervouse when I was pregnant with #2 that #1 would take it really hard since she was always so "high maintenance". However, she totally adjusted fine and fell right into the big sister role no problem. I bet Landon will do great too!

I think Landon is going to be a great big brother. He has already gone through so much in his life and sounds like such a positive, fun guy.

I am glad everyone is being so sweet and supportive of you!

I have yet to congratulate you on the fabulous news! I'm sorry you're feeling pukey and icky, but I can tell that your excitement is totally overriding all that stuff!

Can't wait to hear what the baby is, and hear about all the planning.

Maybe you could bring Landon to the ultrasound appointment where you find out, it might make it more real and exciting for him. It's so cool that you're already thinking so much about his role in all of this!

Such a FABULOUS Mom!

It's amazing how well little ones are able to adjust. My sweet mady was 3 and a half when she became a big sister to two! There are moments, but she does awesome.

Landon will be a doting brother to his baby bro/sis. It's amazing how much the family dynamics change when adding a baby to the fold.

My brother & SIL are expecting their first baby...they too are 11w along. They are going in tomorrow for the nuchal scan. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics.

This is hard advice to comprehend at this stage, but my mom gave me great advice one time. When the tiny baby comes, Landon will start looking like a "big boy." But always remember that he's still a baby, too. This will help him and you. I've passed this advice on several times, and mothers always say it hits home.

Hello! You look wonderful, definitely glowing! I can understand your worries, but that is a great age difference to have, and I am sure he will adjust well.

Have a great weekend!

I hope that you post more on this subject as you go through it. It's one thing on my mind a lot right now as we try for baby #2. It's been me and my little man for nearly 4 years, it will be interesting bringing in another baby.

I remember people being super nice to me during pregnancy, even opening doors and smiling at me a lot. I loved it!

Landon will be a GREAT big brother! He seems like an easy-going kind of guy! So much of how they respond is how we respond and what we expect....he'll do great!!
