Fabulous Book! Stori-telling!

Okay I should be reading something more intellectual and mind stimulating...blah...blah..blah...I am loving this book! I have NEVER been a fan of Tori Spelling, but somehow I watched an episode of Tori and Dean In Love and I was hooked. First of all she is hilarious, but what I really like about her is how she is dealing with the pain of the relationship of her Mother. They never talk and she has never met her grandchildren.

In the book you get to really see what it was like for her during the 90210 days and how she grew up under the intense control of her parents. I am half way through and I am riveted!

I promise after this I'll read War and Peace.

This book is on the list of books I want to read. After watching Tori and Dean, I really like her.

I read that book awhile back and I loved it! I was never a huge fan of hers either till I saw Tori and Dean and read her book. She did not have the easiest childhood, but I think she turned out really well!

Oh, I want to read it, too. But I'm NOT reading War and Peace afterwards. ;)

Me too! I was never really a fan until I saw the first season of Tori and Dean. I really like her too. I read the book last month and really liked it.

I am positively aching to read this too, and even struck the same bargain with myself, ie "After I read this, I promise to read one torturous Literature with a Capital L selection."

So funny! I watched her on 90210 and I love her reality show. I am a little embarassed to admit it, but I too would love to read it.

Read it, loved it. I was also hooked after watching Tori and Dean Inn Love, I like that she is honest and open with her life. Can't wait til the new season and her new book on being a mom.

This book is getting passed among friends and I'm waiting for my turn. Can't wait to read. I wonder what she has to say about Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty both denying the alleged fist fight!

I changed my opinion about her after watching Inn Love and seeing the real side of her, her being a mom and her struggles.

I really like her, too after "Tori and Dean." I feel sorry for how she grew up.

I was a humanistic studies major in college. I read this book and I have seen the show Tori and Dean and somehow it all pulls you in.

I was never a fan during the 90210 days but I have enjoyed her show w/ Dean. I don't like the fact that she helped break up a marriage, it just bad karma. But I do think she is funny and I like her new house. Now if she could stop wearing pony tails...

Isn't the book FABULOUS??!!
My heartbreaks for her childhood and the relationship she has with her mother. The book really sheds light into her ups and downs of being Hollywood royalty. I was never really a fan of hers, but grew to love her quirky, down-to-earth personality in her reality show. The book really pulled everything together for me and I am now a fan of Tori! I do hope that she will have wonderful and loving bond/relationship with her daughter, baby Stella. I am very anxious for her to pen her next book, Mommywood! :)

Glad you like the book. I have been tempted to pick it up but don't know anyone IRL who likes her/or read it. I love her show though....Gonna have to get it!

I used to love Tolstoy--but don't have time or the patience for much besides chic lit and brain candy these days! If you want any rec's...I could give you a ton of titles (all brain candy--nothing classic)!

wait a sec-i thought they made up after her first baby was born. I read this whole thing about it- except mom is about to get even and write her tell-all.

I'm hooked on Tori & Dean too - and I can't believe I'm admitting it - I'll have to read Les Miserables after her book!

By accident watched Tori & Dean- I like her??? I saw the episode where she had a house warming/new baby. Hate to admit that I enjoyed it. She is not who I thought she was...

I totally agree! I haven't read the book yet, but I will definitely think about it. After watching her show, even my husband noticed how down-to-earth and funny Tori could be!

Have a great weekend!

Ha! That's how I feel! Ever since I got finished with school and don't have to read the classics anymore, I find myself reading chick lit and feeling a little less cultured. But, you know what? I think an easy, fun read is just as good as anything. Hey, at least it's not watchin TV (which, I also do too much of)

I feel the same way you do. I started watching Tori and Dean Inn Love and was hooked. I really like her and just last week I requested it from the library..it's checked out so I am waiting.

I have to admit I didn't really like her but after her show I see that she's really nothing like I thought she was. The "babe" stuff does get on my nerves a bit, and I just can't help but think if she didn't have "Spelling" after her name that Dean wouldn't have looked twice. (hey, I'm suspicious)...lol.

I have her book too and read it - it's interesting. And it was fun seeing the vacation at the Four Seasons Aviara where we recently went! Although we didn't have that nice suite she was in!

My husband just got the Kindle and I was considering downloading this book!

I think you've sold me. I love Hollywood gossip.

i was thinking about reading this. i was totally hooked to her show and look at her in a different way. i definitely have a weird relationship with my mom, and seeing her crying about it to dean looked just like me and chris. too sad and funny at the same time.

I love Tori & Dean. I also got hooked after watching one episode. I sat down to watch the season finale when it aired and FREAKED because we no longer received oxygen. Apparently, our dish network package did not include the oxygen channel, but we had been getting it due to some special temporary promotion. I had my husband call immediately to upgrade our package, and caught the beginning of the show just in the nick of time!
p.s.~This book is going on my Christmas list.

We don't get Oyxgen, but I've been able to catch up on Tori & Dean via our On Demand programming. I got hooked and watched all the episodes within three days. Thanks for the book recommendation!

I actually DVR Home Sweet Hollywood. I did not watch 90210, so didn't know much about Tori but I also think she is hilarious! And seems to take most things in stride. And I like she is not a nagging b**ch to her husband, like some of the other reality shows. They seem to really love each other and get along.
