The Mother Ship Has Landed

My mom is arriving today and it could not come soon enough! I HAVE SLOOOOOOOOOOOWED down. I'm tired, heartburny and unable to do anything! Baby is now 6 1/2 pounds and next week she will BE HERE! I couldn't be more thrilled.

I have been collecting day gowns like the one above thanks to tips from the fabulous I Love Pink and Weasels Journey!

I swear people in LA don't know the meaning of "smocked", "bishop", or "day gown!" And when I meet someone who does know they become my best friends! LOL!

UPDATE:
Day gowns are from Ebay (petite ami) and orient expressed!

I am right there with you on the folks out west not knowing about smocked, etc. Living in AZ I did not buy a single thing in a store for my daughter while I was pregnant. I had to rely on trips home to Alabama or eBay. I could sing the praises of eBay all day long!!!! Can't wait to see pics of baby! Hard to believe it is time!

What a pretty gown! I'll bet your mother is just as happy to be with you as you are to have her. Sit back, relax and let mom take care of you!

Is a day gown a southern thing? My neighbor in ATL kept her newborn daughter in those. I loved them so much! You REST when your mom gets there. Good luck! You're in the final stretch!

Oh! Where DO you find your day gowns?

So that picture is so cute. But on a side note because I am kind of bad about looking at the background of people's pictures. Your house is tres tres adorable. Please come help me with mine!

You need to come to the south. We love all things smocked, bishoped and day gowned! Glad your mom is there now.

I am SO excited for you and just SO VERY jealous that you're nearing the finish line and I have months to go! I can't wait to get my hands on my little boy, and I'm sure you're just itching to get your hands on your sweet baby girl. I hope everything goes smoothly and that baby girl is pink and warm and healthy!
