The Kitchen! Before and After!

Remember last December when hubby and I decided to do a kitchen update? I was living with everything piled up in the dining room and the paint smell was driving my pregnant self insane....
Well, I survived the painting. And finally I am showing the "after'!
We still need to do new counter tops and new floors but I think it's a pretty darn good start!

I think a dark, or black counter top and cork flooring would be nice...what do you guys think? I also need to pull in green or yellow from the dining room.

We removed one of the upper cabinets to create a more airy feeling. I also want to build banquette seating where the table is and get a new dark wood table and French cafe chairs...but alas we are on a spending freeze!

I am loving my new mudroom/ laundry room and the new pantry!

I am also loving my "Swiss coffee" white kitchen and new Restoration Hardware draw pulls and knobs!

Very pretty! You two did a great job. I think black would be perfect, very popular now, we are thinking of changing to black tops also. Love the laundry room.

I love it! The pulls and knobs are perfect. What a difference in the laundry room! Mine still looks like I'm walking into a scene of a horror movie.

Have a great day!

I love it all! The drawer pulls are my favorite. We are looking at something similar for our kitchen. That pantry is just HEAVENLY! What's for dinner? ;-)

Love everything. Did you reface your cabinets or repaint them? Love them. We redid our kitchen two summers ago and I am THIRLLED with the results. We really do spend so much time in there!

I love before and afters and this one did not disappoint! It looks so clean and fresh. My favorite might just be the new pantry. I am right with you on the banquet idea.

It's amazing that pulling out one cabinet above the island made such an open feeling...I just love the after! We have cork floors in our new building...they seem hard to keep clean...the custodians are constantly mopping. Maybe you'd have better cork options than the school though??

I'm envious of your pantry. My 1940's tiny kitchen is not working so well in the pantry department.

Oh man, it all looks fabulous! You could have someone make you a really cute Roman shade for the window over the sink and that would add a pop of color. Great work!

Love the new kitchen. A friend of mine recently redid her kitchen with white cabinets and black granite coutertops and incorporated a little green and yellow in accent pieces. It really looks fabulous.
