Well, I survived the painting. And finally I am showing the "after'!
We still need to do new counter tops and new floors but I think it's a pretty darn good start!
I think a dark, or black counter top and cork flooring would be nice...what do you guys think? I also need to pull in green or yellow from the dining room.
We removed one of the upper cabinets to create a more airy feeling. I also want to build banquette seating where the table is and get a new dark wood table and French cafe chairs...but alas we are on a spending freeze!
I am loving my new mudroom/ laundry room and the new pantry!
I am also loving my "Swiss coffee" white kitchen and new Restoration Hardware draw pulls and knobs!

Love everything. Did you reface your cabinets or repaint them? Love them. We redid our kitchen two summers ago and I am THIRLLED with the results. We really do spend so much time in there!

It's amazing that pulling out one cabinet above the island made such an open feeling...I just love the after! We have cork floors in our new building...they seem hard to keep clean...the custodians are constantly mopping. Maybe you'd have better cork options than the school though??

looks great, there is a black granite called uba tuba, It comes with gold flecks (uba tuba gold) and green flecks (uba tuba green). They are so pretty.

Love the new kitchen. A friend of mine recently redid her kitchen with white cabinets and black granite coutertops and incorporated a little green and yellow in accent pieces. It really looks fabulous.
