Oh my goodness! We were just there! I SO wish we could meet up sometime!

I love Corolla! I was going to suggest: the Kill Devil Grill like Maggie said- my cousin David is part owner and everything is fabulous but you really MUST try the hot wings- they are something special- to die for!! (And I can usually give or take hot wings)

Your kids will LOVE Jockey's Ridge dunes in KittyHawk or Kill Devil Hills (can't remember- it's all very close). Go in the evening when the sand is cool and bring your camera. Really fun to climb up and run down and see the views. Not too many other places you can do that.

We also fell in love with a special sauce (ha!) from a local place at MP 9- can't remember the name but something like Hurricane Mike's or Hatteras something? They sell their jalapeno tarter sauce in mason jars and it is ADDICTIVE!

Also, closer to you in Corolla, the shops on the water (Waterfront Shops?) have a Lilly store for you :) and several other cute stores. Another shop near MP 10 is the Forbes candy shop and the kids can select their favorite salt water taffy flavors while you can get some pretty clothes in the small, adjoining clothing store. Preppy cute clothes.

Are you coming any closer to Richmond???

Oh my word I love Corolla! Wish we were going but headed to Sandbridge this year. Just spend every second you can at the beach. I love my homestate (CA) but nothing compares to the beaches at OuterBanks! Enjoy the bright Adirondack chairs and the water! xoxo

I live near the Outer Banks and it's awesome. I'm definitely a beach bum and my kid love it too! Glad you had a great time, but it's always hard to get back into the groove of "regular life"!
