I Never Saw A Wild Thing Sorry For Itself

Sometimes when I look at Landon I think of the D.H. Lawrence poem....Self Pity.

"I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself...."

Look at the joy. He runs like he will never stop running.

He is living a care free life. No worries.

Sometimes I look at him and all I can see is this sad little arm....all he can see is
a beautiful beach. A beautiful life.

I wanna be more like him.

I know, I love how kids don't have a care. They find the joy in everything. I don't ever want that to change for our kids. I don't them want to become jaded or self-conscious, or care what people think. I want them to have fun and enjoy the beautiful life they have been given. And I wish we could be more like that.

He looks like he's have so much fun. That happens at the beach. :)

Awww... this made me all teary. It is SO TRUE! After a week of bad behavior completely out of character for him and coming out of the blue, he has now started saying "Being a kid is really hard" and that makes me a little sad because it should be so hard yet at 6! Maybe we need to visit the beach! Hope you have a carefree weekend!

This is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful post. Your little guy has a great life. Look at his face. Look at that ocean. You've done such a good job.

Me too! We all need to be more like that. I was just thinking about something similar. I need to surround myself with laughter.

He has no time to think about his arm, to busy playing running, swimming. He can't worry about that different arm right now he has to build a sand castle. You have done so well momma.
