Target Practice! Shoot Score!

Okay the Mrs. has no interest in buying maternity clothes the second time around. The first time I could not help myself. This time I just want to look as cute as I can but not waste money!! I am not going to wear sweatpants during my pregnancy (unless it's late at night and no one sees me!), so I needed some clothes!

Enter Target. Or rather Tarjay. Like your high school boyfriend, Target is a cheap thrill you never feel guilty about. Good times.

Here's what The Mrs. got! (Oh great I sound like Suede from Project Runway)

First, pictured above the hering bone pants by Liz Lange.

Then I got this, not maternity, because it's 90 degrees!!! Got it in charcoal grey too!

But I could not leave without this!!!

Then at Old Navy...

This looks amazing and modern. Such a great top.

This is cute too with my maternity jeans!

I can't tell you how DESPERATE I am in the clothing department right now, at 19 weeks preggers. Jeans are just not comfy for me - they slide off and cut into my tummy when I sit at the point where the denim meets the panel ( I'm referring to a GAP pair). I love dresses, but it's very cold now - in the 30s. I need to find a great source of maternity leggings to go under dresses. Any ideas?

Now wait a minute . . . a maternity PURSE?

My girlfriends and I had a giant tupperware bin full of maternity clothes that we passed around, with everyone adding something when they had it. It was great: you announce your pregnancy, and the tub appears on your doorstep. When we were all finished with it, the clothes went to a consignment store and the money for a cocktail outing.

Great finds! I hated buying maternity the second time around too! I actually found a couple of great tops that weren't maternity, which somehow felt better to buy. With all the loose tops these days, I just got some in a size bigger and it worked out just fine. Plus I felt better about wearing them after the pregnancy because they weren't maternity!!

Stoppig by to say that I've given you an award. Stop by to pick it up!

Honestly though, the clothes are cute, and I find myself in my maternity stuff already. Pants are still to big, but so much more comfortable than my actual pants!

Seriously, though, great job on finding such cute and reasonably priced maternity clothes. I can't wait to see pictures of you modeling them!

I feel your pain. I have NO long maternity pants as I was pregnant all summer the first time. And I can't stomach spending money on pants I will only wear for three months. (Please Lord!) Then the trip to the Gap outlet this week only to discover they no longer carry maternity. Crisis! Enter Gap online buy one pair of pants get one half off sale this week. Saved my neck! Can't wait to see how cute you look.

LOVE that purse!
